New Business

Honor Tag Replacements  – New honor tags are in design now. We will present options to the club for that artwork for a vote. The new tags will still feature the Hero sponsored and the person/business sponsoring but will include unique artwork of our past installations. 

Warsaw Christmas Parade – Pat Pugh has announced December 4th for this years parade!

Trunk-or-Treat  – Looking for Candy and Volunteers! Warsaw Rotary will be handing out bottled water and  bagged candy on Sunday October 31st at Rappahannock High School’s Bus Loop

Doug / Amy Jenkins – November 13th1:30-6:30pm Red cross – Warsaw Baptist Blood Drive

Hutt/Teresa Williams – will be at Garners Produce – Saturday 8am-1pm – fundraising for 10,000 Reasons.

Members have suggested a visit from Town leadership to speak to the club

Sheri Moss is Moving to Fayettville, NC by the end of the month. Sheri has been an active Rotarian for over a year with our club and has served with us even longer. Please extend my thanks for her overwhelming generosity and service to our community throughout the years.

UPDATE:  District Grant typically shows up at the end of September. We will need to procure our pole and flag before the end of the Rotary year to prove purchase. The purchased parts will need to be stored until the Town is ready to install.

Shrimp N’ Suds – Targeting Spring 2022 (Last Saturday in April specifically)

If you are interested in helping with 1 or more tasks that this event will require to make successful, please reach out to Michael Bergamo! We would like this to be something people look forward to year after year for fellowship and fun. Preliminary tasks are in motion to secure a date and venue, along with budget information.

WHAT IS ROTARY! – Ads for each member of Rotary to be the voice of the club. When you (and your organization) are asked, “What is Rotary” we will ask you to give your reason for serving and what it means to your life. This is a relatable way for perspective members and donors to know who to turn to when there is interest.

Honor Tag Replacements  – Debby has procured the new tags for the next installation.

Rappahannock Highschool – Red Track Event is September the 10th! Friday Night at 7pm. Donors to the Red Track Program will be recognized early so please be there early!

We have breached the 11K mark in received funds for dues and donations!! This is such a moving gesture from you all. We have recovered from one of the worst years in Rotary history within 6 months. Your dedication to this community and to the World in need, is motivating and completely Rotarian.

New Business

Food + Drinks + Live Entertainment Event! – We are seeking feedback from the club for feasibility and interest. We would like to host an event in Town Park that features seafood, spirits and live music next spring. The club will commit time and effort in the creation and organization of this event so your input is critical.

Club Finance

Co-Secretary Tommy Neuman has released by mail, dues notices to all club members. Please be on the lookout. These dues are for the upcoming Rotary year. These can be paid in 1 payment for the year or 2 (6mo)

Paul Harris Fellowship – We have the stated goal as a club of having 100% of membership be a Paul Harris Fellow. This requires each member to contribute $1000 over the course of the Rotary year. $85 per month to the Rotary Foundation will get you there if you are compelled. That donation is easiest when setup as a payment made via the Rotary.org website.  I have sent out each members Rotary ID to login to your account. We have discussed gifting fellowship points to get active members up to that level. The only ask is that you have donated $100 to Foundation yourself. Our collective pool will make up the additional 900 points as required.

Flags for Heroes – Thank you to our faithful group of flag sponsors and installers! The Memorial day install went very well and we are set for the 4th of July. Ground sockets are approved to remain installed through this season. A VERY special thanks to Hutt Williams for going to bat for us to get that approved and re-approved.

Breakfast Sourcing:

The Daily – Doug Jenkins

 engaged the Daily to see if they could host us for breakfast. We are waiting another week to determine if that’s an option.

Donut Shop – Tommy

The Donut shop would love to have us.  Greg would be able to host a good amount of people with breakfast options. We would like the club’s feedback on this as there would be limited seating and opportunities to have speakers.
